Great Cause for Thanksgiving

One of my friend's family has been directly affected by cancer and I am asking my sphere of influence for their help! I have included a write-up from Stephanie below...

 

"For those of you who don’t already know, my father-in-law was diagnosed with oral cancer earlier this year at the young age of 58. He’s never been a smoker or a drinker even, so this has come as a shock. He is one of the kindest people I’ve ever known and is a servant kind of dad, spouse, and friend. We all adore him, and to see him suffer in pain day after day has been heartbreaking, to say the least.

The treatment options for him are brutal and include 1) removing his tongue and therefore losing the ability to speak or eat and 2) potentially suffering from the side effects of radiation to a very sensitive area of the body. Therefore he has decided to try an alternative approach to shrinking the tumor, that has already shown promising enough results to be included in a clinical trial at John Hopkins. However, it is not covered by insurance and is very expensive.

If you feel led to donate, or to even just share the link, we would so appreciate it. We also ask that you join us in prayer that a miracle would be done in Jesus name, that the pain would be more manageable, and for strength for him and my mother-in-law.
